2 weeks ago Melina made her shocking return to Monday Night RAW on 8/2 when she put Alicia Fox on notice that she will be coming to reclaim her Divas Championship that she never lost. August 15 at Summerslam Melina did just that when she took on Alicia Fox in a Divas Championship match, she hits her cravate DDT move and pick up the victory as she celebrated, Lay-Cool came out to end the celebration. The co-Women's Champion Layla & McCool let the new Divas Champion Melina know that they were the only women who mattered in WWE, they attack Melina after words! Digials / Captures

Melina & Eve vs Lay-Cool
Eve wasn’t in the match at all. The match ended quick when Melina push Layla into Michelle McCool having her falling outside of the ring to the mat. Melina then grab her from behind and made a quick roll up pin for the 3 count. Winners: Melina & Eve
After the match: Melina & Eve standing on the entrance ramp as Michelle got on the mic and says Melina’s victory is like her, forgettable. Michelle says that she wants to unify the Diva’s and Women’s championship, one of them to face Melina. Melina then said she knew they were going to say something like that and she come prepared, she happily accept the challenges but to make the match a Lumber Jack match. All the divas then came out side with Melina as the LayCool end up saying fine!
Edit: Since sadly that Serena is no longer in the WWE, Michelle McCool & Layla is the only heels on Smackdown (not counting Vickie), the divas came out sided with Melina, including the heel ones.. Does this means that LayCool will have to defend for themself, this actually gives a better chance for Melina to win at Night of Championship, eventhough that Michelle was the first to win the Divas Championship and first to have won both the Divas & Women’s Championship but could Melina possibly be the first to become the unify champion? Only way to find out is to stay tune for the result of Night of Champions

Divas and Women’s Championship Unification Lumberjack Match
In what will no doubt be one of the most unique (or should we say “flawless?”) bouts at Night of Champions, Divas Champion Melina will face one half of the self-proclaimed “Co-Women’s Champions,” Team Lay-Cool, in a match that will unify the Women’s and Divas titles – a feat of such magnitude that every WWE Diva will be at ringside to witness it.
Returning from injury to capture the Divas Championship at SummerSlam, Melina has every reason to be in a celebratory mood these days. However, SmackDown’s resident “mean girls,” Michelle McCool & Layla, have bullied the Latina lovely over the past several weeks with a series of verbal and physical assaults. When Team Lay-Cool revealed they had a surprise in store for Melina on Raw’s 900th episode celebration, the Divas Champ was justifiably skeptical.
Confronting Melina with a dose of their infamously candid “real talk,” Lay-Cool accused the Diva of being “forgettable,” proposing a Championship Unification Match at Night of Champions to determine the most deserving titleholder in the Divas division. Either Michelle or Layla will battle Melina, and the winner will leave Night of Champions with both the Women’s and the Divas Championships, unifying the titles for the first time in history.
Melina accepted the challenge, but given Lay-Cool’s inclination to bend the rules, the Divas Champion demanded that every WWE Diva on the roster be at ringside as lumberjack to ensure that this indeed a fair fight – a near-foreign concept to the cunning “Co-Women’s Champs.”
